The WorkKeys®job skills assessment system measures real-world ability to help jobseekers build skills for better careers. Prepare in our classes for these national certifications that can be given to employers to demonstrate your experience and readiness for work.  CACE classes provide basic workplace skills training, based on the ACT, Inc. WorkKeys® assessment system. Courses prepare those already in the workforce as well as students just entering the job market with the tools needed for career success. WorkKeys supports many classes, including an open Computer Lab where a teacher is there to guide you through the preparation, M-W-F, 12:30-2:30.   Classes begin October 18, 2010. Office professionals are the core of most businesses. Without competent office personnel, executive administrators, bookkeepers and office managers, most companies would be unable to function. As businesses continue to expand and rely on increasingly complex technology, the need for advanced training and professional certification becomes critically important. Most jobs today require the ability to use a variety of computer applications effectively.   This program helps students work in the basic office computer applications and obtain certification in a range of skills.   Please call for more detailed information about how this class can help you succeed..  Classes begin October 25, 2010. Pharmacy Tech           

In collaboration with Boston Reed, CACE is pleased to offer a Saturday class of career training in the high-demand health careers arena.  With Pharmacy Tech jobs projected to grow 18% by 2018, these classes will provide you with the technical training and certification to gain employment in pharmacies and other health care facilities. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will help the pharmacist package or mix prescriptions, maintain client records, refer clients to the pharmacist for counseling, assist with inventory control and purchasing, as well as collect payment and coordinate billing. This course combines 182 hours of classroom instruction with a 120-hour pharmacy externship to provide you with a complete learning experience. (Total: 302 Hours)
